Welcome to my Research page!

I do my research work at the Research Institute for Solid State Physics and Optics (MTA-SzFKI). My main research field is the simulational and experimental investigation of gas discharges and strongly coupled plasmas.

To be able to do this work we have a nice little laboratory. In this lab we can do some basic electrical and spectroscopical measurements. We have one old fashion wacuum system (from the '60-s, picture see below) and two new fashion, stainless-steel systems under construction now.

For the simulation work we have built our little PC-cluster. Seven dual-PIII/Athlon class computers are connected to a shared file-system (NFS) server. Of course we use Linux (RedHat) on the system. This way remote controll and paralell work is done easiely.
