Welcome to the open laboratory webpage of the Department for Complex Fluids of the Institute for Solid State Physics and Optics, part of the Wigner Research Centre for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
At our department four research groups perform theoretical, experimental, and numerical research on the structure and dynamics of material systems with different levels of order. The investigations target fundamental processes in e.g. granular materials, liquid crystals, solid alloys, electrolytes, and plasmas. We offer access to a variety of experimental techniques and equipment that have been successfully developed or adopted to these research areas.
